LAND USE PERMIT INFORMATION

Before a Land Use Permit / Land Assignment can be forwarded to the Red Lake Tribal Council for approval, the following information must be submitted:

LAND ASSIGNMENT / LAND USE PROCESS
1. Complete legal description, parcel, and address of building location

2. Wetlands review (FWS wetland mapper search of property location)

3. Soils review (USDA Web Soil Survey search of property location)

4. Shoreline review (must ensure the site is 200’ from shoreline of Red Lake)

5.Endangered Species review (letter from Red Lake DNR)

6. Archaeological review (Report or letter from Red Lake THPO)

​7. Complete Land Use Checklist form: Signed and dated by applicant

8. Land Use Permit/Application
